First im not sure if this is in the right thread. Here's the deal my girl just bought a used 99 Cav Sedan. It has power everything, including the locks. The guy gave her two keys but no key less entry remote. Im trying to find out if she even has this feature or not.
I am just assuming the car does since it has power locks.
So question's......
1. How can I find out?
2. I see people selling them on e-bay will they work?
3. If they do work where do I get the remote programed?

open the trunk on the left side pull down the carpet does it have a little black plug just hanging there? if it does it has keyless entry
Just about any aftermarket system can be made to work.
Leave a door open, push the lock button, if it chimes you probably have the keyless receiver and just need remotes programmed.
I got the GM system on eBay for $30. VSC#### (forget the numbers right this moment. Look around)
