I was wondering the best place to mount my tweeters. I heard mounting them too high is to intense on highs and mounting them too low wont give you the full affect. Where would be the best place to mount them.
The best place to mount tweeters is with your mids, preferably in the kickpanels to equalize pathlengths (for both mids and tweeters) to the passenger's ears. In an ideal world, the left and right speakers image the best if they're at equal distances from your ears (think of how most HT systems are setup). The problem I've found with kickpanels is that (if the speakers aren't aimed correctly), the soundstage may be really low. You can certainly put your tweeters higher up on the doors, pillars or dash. It will help bring the soundstage up (so it sounds like the band is playing from your windshield), but your left speakers (especially the tweeter) may end up sounding alot louder than the right (because it's alot closer), which can really hurt imaging and overall balance. It depends on what you plan on doing (competing/audiophile or just daily driver looking for good sound).
The 50-50-90 rule: Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.
Depends on the components. Use your ears to figure out what sounds best with your speakers. My MbQuart components didn't sound good at all to my ears when I placed the tweeters down low near the mid, so I went for them in the pillars and really enjoy the sound. And also your deck plays a big part in soundstage, if you have a higher end deck you can get time alignment which can drastically change the sound. It actually delays the sound to the speakers in such a way that the farther ones play the music before the close ones do, thus it makes it seem like they are centered. Interesting option.
ive got them both high and low in the front , and im happy with the sound

Very true. I've put tweeters in the a-pillars (and high up on the doors) of a few of my cars and was pretty happy with them. My only complaint was that I couldn't adjust the tweeter volume independently, as they overwhelmed the midrange at times. Having a deck/processor that can add delay and help control the level of high frequencies would certainly help.
On a side note for Tom - your Quarts didn't sound good with the tweeters installed near the mids? My best friend had 6.5" QM coaxials in the doors of his 97 cav (way back in 1997) and to this day I've never heard anything better (he used to compete in SQ (and win quite a bit) until coming over to the dark side (SPL)). It was to the point where I couldn't tell where the music was coming from. I spent 3-4 minutes consciously trying to figure out where his speakers were installed, because it all sounded like it was coming from the windshield, even when I ducked my head down to listen to the lower doors.
I'm just curious as to why there seems to be a such a difference.

This is why i love j-body, fast and very good responses, thanx all!!

great answer saved me from saying the exact same thing.
as for quarts, they can be tricky to get a good image. their designed for off-axis so they shouldnt be pointed towards the listener and you get great results with them flat on the doors allot but they can be tricky to get the small changes out of them because the direction you would normally move an on axis speaker to get a result may not give the same result on the quarts. their great speakers though, ive been running them for about 9 years now.
