remote start-theft system bypass/oil tension coil

well i got my remote start working... except two problems...

1: I'm not sure where i need to put the 'oil tension coil' wire. this is obviously so that the remote start computer knows when the car has started. I tried wrapping it around the first cylinder spark plug wire, that didn't work.

2: I need to know what type of theft system bypass to buy. Basically, once my car turns over from the remote start, it dies again, because of the stock anti-theft. What type of system do our cars use, so i know what type of bypass to get.

first the bypass should be a 555L from DEI. As for the 'oil tension coil' wire, I have never heard of this but most remote starts call it a tach sense. That is the purple/white wire in the engine harness.

Thanks.

This purple/white wire i assume is on the big connector behind the battery?

I think that should work fine, I would assume it simply some sort of electrical signal that is there when the engine is running, and not there when the car is in run and not running.

CHEVROLET, CAVALIER, 2000, Tachometer

The engine harness is found next to the battery, below the radiator hose, just above the transaxle.

Also, I got the bypass all wired in and it works, but my 'service' and 'thest system' lights stay on
