i tried doin a search but couldn't find what i wanted. i have a 96 cav that i blew up the motor in and will be sending it to the junkyard. my question is can i take out the keyless entry for an install in my truck? where is the module that controls this. thanks in advance for any info.
Well if I'm not mistaken the BCM which is under the dash takes care of this function and a whole lot of other stuff....It's not worth the time. You can get a keyless entry unit for about $30.
the control module is in the trunk under carpet on left side.
i think you will also need the door lock relay if your switch has 3 wires to it.
not that hard. That's what i'm goin to do, but now i'm missing the lock relay....
