i dont quite understand all the difference in the ohms.... my question is whut would be a good amplifier to push this sub... will it matter what ohms the amp is also??? i have a Kicker Solo Baric 10" Dual 4ohm sub... any help is appreciated....
Any class d mono amp will work for that sub as long as the amp is 2 ohm capable. You could also bridge a 2 channel amp and use it as long as it can run at 2 ohm while bridged. I would recommend a good class d amp from Alpine, MTX, or Kicker.
josh
i work at the roadshop at circuit city and i have seen nothing but problems w/ the kicker amps, one of my associates has a kicker 5 channel that has been in and out of service now 4times,they make go0d stuff but personally for the price and performance id go w/ mtx,audiobahn,orion,alpine,memphis.....i do like kicker digital sx series but there very pricey and who knows if they have problems like the kx series has been having.....i had a guy w/ an audiobahn a2175 mono block running to a 10'' l5 and it slammed.....not alot of people like audiobahn b/c they say you pay for the lo0k of them, granted there lower end stuff is garbage, but i have all of there digital series amplifier and high current amps and i love them, only downside is they suck alot of power
viper, orion and dircted are all made by dei and they are good amps for the money
anyone else have any suggestions... im really thinking about buyin this amp tomorrow
clicky
that amp would work the best
go hifonics
i got 2 12 inch solobarics l7's hooked up to a hifonics brutus amp at 1 ohm and it pounds about the hardest around town ... (all my friends and others say that) just make sure its in a ported box. and tuned to a good frequency
I have a 12" L5 in a ported box and im running a alpine V12 amp 500x1 class d. As theyve stayed above, im the loudest in my town.
