You can do much better for 109 $........(Alpine Type-r, Alpine Type-S... HELL a Type E would kick its ass............

I have heard every generation of Sony car subwoofers and they all blow....(in more then one way ).

-They sound like @!#$
-They perform like @!#$
-They last as long as @!#$.

Period.

Spend your money more wisely. on something like these.

Type S 12' Daul 4ohm 75 $ http://ikesound.com/product-product_id/2063
Type S 10' Daul 4ohm 73 $ http://ikesound.com/product-product_id/3008
Type R 12' Daul 4ohm 105 $ http://ikesound.com/product-product_id/3352
Type R 10' Daul 4ohm 99 $ http://ikesound.com/product-product_id/3304

with 1 year warrenty.

The Type S' subs alone will have 5 times the sound qaulity of those sony subs, and pound a lot more... The Type R's are in a league of their own in comparision as well...... You could even spend a little more and go for some great highend gear and splurge on a Type X...(I would Honestly even take a Type E over those Sony's....

a friend of mine has two of those subs (the sony's) and he's running them off of an old kenwood 175w mono amp between the two of them (they're probably wired in parallel) and his trunk still rattles similar to what mine does (mine is two 10" 1000w subs and a 1000w amp)

I've only ever heard they blow out easily. my friend's subs havent blown yet, mind you they're severely underpowered. They're pretty good for the price, but I think the $30 10" jensens at walmart were pretty good for $30

I would rather have no subs then those things.... they are 30 bucks for a reason.

the jensens I bought blew out from being at peak power (well... a bit more actually, but they instantly blew...) whereas when getting 275w each, they've lasted for hours upon hours, and thumped pretty decently. Like I said, I think they're worth the $30, but if you've got the money, dont go with them, they're the poor man's sub (like me )
