question about the big 3
Sunday, September 04, 2005 6:18 AM
I decided to replace the big 3. I'm probally going to just get 1/0 gauge wire if that's what I need. I think that's thick enough. Anyway how much wire do I need to buy.(feet wise) Or is there a websight that sells all the wire and conectors for are cars. Thanks

you just need to plan out where you are going to route it..and then measure it. buy an extra foot or two then what you measured.

Why buy a kit when you can get the wire and terminals cheaper at an auto parts store? I just did a buddy of mine's car (ground from battery to engine block, engine block to driver's side shock mount) and it took 6 foot. Figure on another 5 foot for a bigger wire to the alternator.
