it seems that my cig lighter plug is to shallow or small to accept any normal appliances.. is that normal? is there a work around? i seem to remember my neon bars fitting before i cut the plug off?
now i have my GFs radar detector and my FM tuner for my iPod and none of them fit?

I have a 2000 and My accessories tend not to go in all the way, they still work though....

The tip of the plug on you accesory should be springy... If it is too hard of a spring it will force it back out.
If you can open the plug, take the spring out and cut it down. Not too far though, as you obviously need the contacts pushing together.

That, or your just afraid to push it in hard enough. I cant imagine that your cig plug is any different than the thousands that gm puts in cavs everyday. Look in there, check for obstructions. Make sure the plugs are the right shape, everything is there, so on.
