I am running 2 12" 800w Max Kenwood subs, with a stock dock, and un-amped Lightening Audio 3-way 6x9s in the rear
I'm curious what you all have set you low-pass filter frequency for on your subs?
What is the highest frequency you would recommend for 12" subs?

I would almost say it depends on the box, ported or sealed, single or shared and how much airspace is in the box. I mostly just adjust subs by sound, if you can have the trunk open and have them sounding good, or relitivly good, no farting or popping, then once you close the trunk, they should sound sexy......

Alright.
It is a dual box, but with individual sealed chambers. 1.25 sq. foot airspace.
I have it set at about 95 hz or so right now.
And along with the gain tuning and all, i think i have it to where I can use the bass control on my deck and it works perfect so i can turn it down for rock, and up for hippity hop, etc.

every system shouls vary really. with a great system your sub is going to start at where your midbass ends. on my old system i ran my sub from 55hz and down. in my ga the midbass wasnt as good so i was running at around 65-70hz. anything higher then around 80 hz or so is easy to localise so i generally try to have people run it there or below. best bet is to get your mids to play as low as u can and whatever that point is, is where you should adjust your subs crossover around.

I thought the HPF controlled what frequency the subs cut out at (high end). At least thats how it is on mine.
I've got my system set to where the HPF (highest frequency subs put out) on the amp as low as it goes. I did the same thing with the deck to control the components. I've got the bass setting turned all the way down, and the subs turned all the way up. They just happen to blend toghether perfect, but my subs can put out some pretty high bass, and I've got Infinity speakers all around.
Those lighning audio speakers can put out some descent high frequencies, just slowly adjust your amp while the music is playing until it sounds they way you like.
Hey Neo......did you get your subs back from Trin??? and after all that work we did pulling everyhting out of your car.
We should compare systems tomarrow, I wan't something to compare mine to as a reference.
What frequency is bad for these subs? Id like to get as much out of them as I can, but I dont wanna break em. How high can I go?
