My ground wire came loose from my amp, and now when i try to reconnect it, even with the car off the amp powers up. ( i can tell because my amp has a red light that shines when on, on top of it).
any ideas of the reason behind this, i dont want to drain my batttery.
the red light is the protect light, this means something is wrong, check fuses on evertything especially amp and disconnect the remote wire and see if it still does it

If the amp is getting power even with the car off, make sure that the main power wire isn't shorting out on the remote turn on input.
