Hey guys, I know some of you are gonna laugh at this but I want to put a factory keyless entry on my 2000 Cavalier and not have to worry about connecting to the BCM. 2000+ has the keyless running thru the BCM but on the older 95-99, keyless is handled by a separate box in the trunk, with no connection to the BCM.

I have the keyless entry module and door lock relay from a 99 Cavalier and I can make all the connections except one. My question is about the power. In the circuit drawings I have, there is a connection to ignition positive voltage (hot at run and accy) and then a parasitic power control connection.

What can I connect to do get this parasitic power control?
Is it the same as the inadvertent power control in the 2000+?
Can I use the wire that connections to the back of the radio so you can turn on the clock without the key in the ignition, or maybe the wire for the interior dimming lights?

This is the only wire I can't find a connection to.

Probably has been posted but i cant find it anywhere on here.

12 VOLT CONSTANT RED (+) IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
STARTER YELLOW (+) IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
STARTER 2 N/A
IGNITION 1 PINK (+) IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
IGNITION 2 N/A
IGNITION 3 N/A
ACCESSORY/HEATER BLOWER 1 ORANGE (+) IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
ACCESSORY/HEATER BLOWER 2 BROWN (+) IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS

So for 12V on Start and Run I think you are going to need the PINK wire.

hmm, idlove to have this on my 99, i have factory power locks and mirriors but no keyless entry. Is this hard to add in to the system.

Im also converting over my manual windows to factory style power windows.

I was going to just get an aftermarket alarm with the keyless, but maybe the factory setup is better way to go?
