just as it says i have an 04 sunfire and the other day while just driving down the road, both rear speakers just quit working simultaniously. anyone know what may have caused this or know how to fix it? also i never play the radio loud so im sure they arent blown.

thanks in advance

Something may have come loose in the wiring harness but that is unlikely unless you hit something really hard. Check the connection in the truck 1st.

Yeah the stock speakers are really crap. My 03 Sunfire rear right speaker blew out within only a two month period after I got it. Can always buy some cheap aftermarket speakers that are at least better than what the car came with if you're looking for a quick fix. Only pain in the ass part is figuring out how to get the damn rear deck off. I've asked on here a few times and got different answers, but when I look underneith the from inside the trunk I don't see anything that holds it in place for sure. I don't wanna start snapping off things without knowing for sure what they're holding down, lol.

if its an 04 it should be under waranty so just take it in and let them fix it.

its out of warrenty already. im thinking they did blow the outer suspension was really soft and i used a battery to see if the coil would buzz and there was nothing. so im just looking into some aftermarkets and its really not to bad getting them out.

they are definitely blown just pulled them out now. for the one who is concerned about pulling them out all it is, is to plastic clip things behind the rear seat back and then pull the rear deck off just becareful it is only like cardboard so dont flex it to much

They arent awesome or anything but if you look around there are some coupon codes that will get you free shipping and a bit off the final price. Very tough to beat for that price.
