I just received my shipment of speakers from CarDomain.com. I received Infinity 6000cs and 6002si's (although I ORDERED 6002i's... they're just stock replacements going in my rear deck, so I'm gonna save the hassle of returning them... no big deal).
Anyways, the question... may be retarded. The inputs on the back of the speakers are flat metal prongs. The 16gau. wire I just ordered with it is, well, wire. How do I make a secure connection between the two? I've seen those metal sleeve thingies that fit right over the prongs before, but none came with the speakers as anticipated. Are those the best way to go, and if so, can they be found at CC, BB, or Radio Shack?
Thanks

wal mart probably
anywhere like those places...just be sure to get the right size..and then electrical tape it
OR you might be able to solder (sp?) it onto the prong? dunno how smart that would be tho

Unless you live in NY, then checkers is nor advised, consideing its a fast food joint.

They should have come with wire in the boxes, and those wie budles have the correct connectors on them. Dunno what the price difference is but had you ordered from crutchfield instead you would've had free shipping and adapters for you stock harness.

They no longer carry either speaker at Crutchfield as they switched to this year's new Reference speakers. However, comparing last year's(what I got) to this, I picked up the coaxials for $57 rather than $100, and the components for $113 rather than $200. Granted it's comparing closeout of last years Reference at CarDomain to new stock of this years at Crutchfield.... a deal's a deal, and that's $130 savings.
