alright i have searched and cant find anything i just bought 2 Audiobahn 12" Subwoofer (AW1206T) and they are dual 4 ohm and i bought a power acustic amp thats 2 ohm stable how can i wire it so i wont blow the subs or whatever
thanks
should i hook both wires to the 2 channels
or should i have them seperate like this
The first one.... but yours are dual voice coils right???? than you will need to have it on a 2 ohm load for best performance...http://www.cardomain.com/item/ABNAW1206T to the right you will see WIREING GUIDE.... go there and it will show you.....peace
it doesnt show a 2ohm load tho so can someone like draw it out for me cause i have my infinitys now and they are only single so im not sure on what to do to wire them
just put all the + to + and - to -..... easy
my amp is 2 ohm load stable tho... i have the pictures of the subs and amp if you would like me to post pictures so maybe u can draw it out...
well you could run the amp in 2 channel mode at 2ohm if it supports that and wire each sub for 2ohm

Can it handle TWO channels at 2Ohm each? Or can it handle ONE channel at 2 Ohms? If it's ONE channel at 2Ohms then I am pretty sure that it's impossible, unless you trade for 8Ohm DVC.
I'm with sndsgood...
sndsgood wrote:dvc 4 ohm. wire them all together, both voicecoils together, and both subs together in paralele and you have a 1 ohm load. not something allot of amps can handle.

you can only wire it as a 1ohm load...or a 4 ohm load.
your amp won't live with a 1ohm load. so you have to wire it as a 4 ohm load.
the very first reply answered your question...and if you still need help. do it like this.

that would be fine if you bought another amp.

However, he
could in theory, run each sub at 2 ohm load to each of the 2 channels on the amp. Each channel would have to be run to each pos/neg (ie: Right Pos to Right Neg). Overall impedence on each sub would be 2 ohm, therefore answering the original question.

true..i read the reply that the amp was 2 ohm mono stable. after seeing what amp it is, 2 ohm stereo is correct.

He didn't say what amp it was, did he? I don't see it in this post, but sometimes i'm blind. And, just because an amp has 4 terminals doesn't mean it's two channels, they can be internally bridged, and just put that way to make it easier to wire up.
