I have a Sony Xplod CD player and I was wondering what the BUS IN connection is on the back of it? Is it an input of some sort? I really have no idea, the sony manual of course says nothing about it. Thanks!

some kind of an bus input.. do u got a manual? my pionner has it but the plug is totaly different not rca type.

There's imputs on the other side for a cd changer or a mini disc deck, it kinda looks like an s-video input, but its not. What exactly is a bus input? Could I hook any audio source into it and use it as an imput?

sony uses the data cable and a set of RCA's for their CD changers , and the audio from the changer is carried through the rca cables and into the bus input
A bus input can also be used for ipods and satellite radio. the connecting cable is called an mbus, some decks call it a aux.
