I currently have a motorized 7" touch screen in-dash monitor. I am getn tired of that look since everyone seems to have them. I want to get a 7-8" headrest monitor or some sort of screen to fiberglass into my dash bezel where the old radio was. then have a stand alone dvd player under it. Well my question is....

How would a touch screen monitor work? Do i need to find a dvd player that will have touch screen capabilities or what. I want the functions of the indash with the look of the stand alone monitoe and dvd player.

If you want to have the touch screen capabilities, you're best bet is to stay with what you have. If you get a stand alone screen with touch screen ability, it will usually have a usb output to go to a carputer. I haven't seen a DVD headunit that has USB inputs, so you will most likely loose the touch screen.
