i have 4 12" re se and since 2 need a re-coned i was thinking about gettin them re-coned to 10 or just gettin 2 sx or audioque HD 15's what do you guys think.
what do you guys think will be best
4 re se 12's
4 re se 10's
2 sx or AQ 15's
the box is in the trunk right now and just about 8 cubes im going to make it a little bigger since i don't have a back seat so ill have about 11 cu ft to work with give or take. for power ill have a colossus at .7-1 ohm so a little more then 4500 watts. im gettin out of spl but i still want a loud stero for car shows ect so it will be more of a sql set up that can still win a few shows.
AQs... if your goin spl... i have DD n absolutly love them
reconed to 10"?

Since I'm one to go with something not everyone has, go with the AQ's. Yes I realize that they are almost the exact same as the DD's, but many people don't know that. Hell, many people don't even know who makes AQ.

if you want sharpness and clearity get 4 10's... i'm not too sure what your running in your car tho... you must have an upgraded alternator and a battarie and some caps or something....
but yeah get 4 10's..... I would recomend JL 10'7.. even the w6's are good.....

i would never get a W7 or any jl sub i like to pay for sound not a name.
the owner of AQ is the owner of DD's dad right?
you can recone subs to a smaller or larger size ther replace the cones, and basket. not all places but some will. im really thinking about runnin the AQ 15's a friend of mine has one hooked up to a mtx 1501 and it sounds good. i was going to run 4 10's but since they jacked the price up 100 per sub i might just pick 2 15's up.
i wonder how they will sound in 10 cubes tuned around 35 with a colossus.

Yeah, it's Jess's dad. Can't remember his name though.

2250 watts per SX 15 will absolutly roast those subs. I would run the two SXs at the 2ohm load for that colossus but that may still be too much.
they will handle that just fine i had 2500 going to a single se 12 with no problem and it took it just fine. they had about 200+ burps each and the olny time i blew any is when i wanted to (10 mins on a mic playin baby got back and late nite tip).
also for street beating they sub wont get any where near that maybe 800 each, but if you know your subs they can handle the power just fine.
Mike do you know what's a good box size and port for the AQ's? i was thinking about 10 with 120" of port.

That's strange, as I'm running 4000 watts a peice to 4 15" SX's and they handle it just fine. I have 75+ burps on the subs and they have shown no signs of blowing up. I know quite a few people who are running 3-4000 watts on them and not one of them has had problems.
That said, I don't think 2250 will roast them.
Mark, wish I could help, but I have no clue on the AQ's. Have you asked over on Termpro yet? I know there are some people over there that have used them. Try to find Big Ed; wish I could remember his last name. He is from Missouri and used the AQ's at USACi finals last year. He would probably have some ideas.

Chad hines ran a modded mojo on each of his sxs and he never lost one. but did put up 155 in street c. I'd do 4 12s more cone area.
