Hey, i installed my subs myself, and I connected the amp to a switch in the dash so i could cut the subs on and off at my own free will. The question I have is what did i do wrong if the switch itself keeps getting really hot? Is this an electrical issue, should I be worried? By the way, the subs work fine, and they beat louder than most of my friends.

did you hook the switch to the power wire, or to the remote power line? your switch shouldn't be getting hot. also check the ground if it has one. a poor ground can get hot as well.
