i have a set of 193 cc injectors and i want to know if the stock 2.4 injector is a bigger injector ? i though the 2.4 was over 200 cc maybe i am wrong
13's or blowning it. one way or the other!
i think the stock ones are around 250 cc
Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
stock 2.4L are 24 lb/hr which is roughly 250cc
'96-'99 2.4 injectors are bigger than '99.5+ 2.4 injectors.

nope. they were all 24lb/hr for the 2.4l. they might have differed in physical size, but the flow rate remained the same
nevermind. i stand correcting myself
the 96-99 injectors were 25lb/hr. one more lb/hr than the 2k+. the pre 2k were also low impedance, multec1 style injectors whereas the 2k+ are high impedance, multec2.

That's funny, because my flow sheet for my 99 2.4L injectors from RC Engineering says 190 CC and all 4 are balanced to within 3 cc of one another. Mine are the skinny high impedance injectors.

There's a bigger difference than that, I'm pretty sure that the older style were ~24lb/hr, and the newer style were ~19lb/hr.

99 was a transition year. had both, depending on what part of the year the car was made in. and for any question of the injector size, go to
delphi electronics website and look it up. thats where i got my info.

I checked out the site, and noticed that they rate the injector flow rate @ 380kpa, which converts (X .14504) to ~55psi, when the stock fuel pressure on the '99.5+ 2.4's is 40-43psi, so that would explain why our #'s are different. That would also mean that the actual flow rate in this application is less than 24lb/hr, and I'm sticking to my 19lb/hr, although I havn't done the calculation to figure it out exactly.

To add to that, they probably rate it at WOT, so I should have stated the stock FP @ WOT is 48-50psi, still lower than the pressure the website rates the injectors at. The 40-43PSI was at idle.

ah the wheels of misinformation keep on turning. the ecotecs are not 19# they are 24# at 380kpa, which is the stock fuel pressure the eco operates at.
as for the 2.4 people who operate at 43psi or whatnot, use the rcengineering worksheet...it GIVES you the actual flow rates if you just plug in the correct numbers
