Just dumped a pile of money in the Sunfire after it sat for a year and half. New hood, fenders, bumper cover etc.

My issue has been lately the engine has been slow to warm up. Coolant flush done, new radiator (old one smacked up) and I installed a 180 degree thermostat. Even still, the temp guage ranges from 175 to 180, and its a long time to get it there. I remember the car always going to the 90C it shows on the dash, and it was super quick. Throws great heat. The temp sending unit was defective at first, (showed 300F on the live data even though the car was sitting, lol).

Did I get a defective thermostat? And can you get a 195 degree unit? That's what I'm used to in any car lol.
