I need to pull the SDM out of my car and it is not under the front pass seat. The car is a 97 LS 2.2 A/T. everywhere I look says its under the pass seat but its not.

Check under your center console/radio bezel. That area under there.

It's bolted to the sheet metal under the carpet, under the passenger seat. Only on the 95's was it in the centre console area. Unless someone moved it there...
I looked under the center console, its not there. I Cant imagine its under the carpet becasue is looks like it contours the floor very well. I will look in back of the radio bezel tonight and rip the carpet up too.

Lenko's right, it should be under the carpet.
No need to get all crazy with it though, just remove a threshold and a seat and it should give you enough room to look under there.
