Don't think the either 2.2 or the 2.4 compressor from the 2k will fit an '03. Different bracket, and not sure if it matters, but I believe the '03 compressor uses a stud/nut to attach the refrigerant lines, whereas the 2k is bolted to the compressor.
And yes, its the silver (or black) belt driven accessory mounted beneath the alternator.
