I got a 1996 Sunfire gt automatic... During day my daytime running lights dont work but only sometimes... My interior headlamp dont work or my a/c control lights well a/c control light come on sometimes... but my question is my passenger side headlight is dim and i can hit it and it lights upp u think this is a bad ground... And if I turn my hi-beams on it will just stay dimm
i've got a bad ground somewhere too... same year of sunfire gt but stick.
Every time it rains, it's affected - currently my rad fan doesn't work, my a/c compressor won't turn on (I can make it turn on but it still blows warm anyway), and latest problem is that one cylinder cut out, my guess was the injector... the cylinder works again after it dried up, but the first two still are out...
I'd REALLY like to find the spot in the wiring where it's being shorted out or not making a connection, as I can't have something new break every time it rains :/ Hurrah for GM electrical woes....
I wonder if i'll have to go reef a wiring harness from a scrap car and put it in mine... geez I shudder to think how much work that'd be >.>
The ground for the lights is under the battery on the frame rail. Sounds like a bad power though. Check the lighting connector under the battery for corrosion inside.

I had a bad ground on the frame rail next to my battery. Sometimes they get so dirty and rusty that you dont get a good connection anymore. Grinding away some of the crap there to reveal the metal might help out.
