I was just reading in Suspension FAQ and Tokico HP are OEM Replacement it says, should i not use HP's and go with D-Specs i honestly don't care about adjust-ability, just looking for a good ride over potholes etc with my pro-kit springs, some good advice would be greatly appreciated, Thank you Guys. i have a 2003 Cavalier LS Coupe 2D z24 type but thanks a lot guys.

The HP's can handle a small drop, iirc they have the same valving of the d specs without the adjustibility. Do a quick search on the HP's in the suspension forum and you'll get more info, or just email the manufacture.

Shoot Tokico an email just to see what they say, I'm just going off memory from what I've seen posted in the past...and that might not be reliable haha.

I have the HP Blues on my car, and they can handle up to a 1.75 inch drop. Anything more and you void your warranty. They can be used for stock replacements also. They are stiff so be careful if your wanting a good ride. I ordered mine with a set of springs that gave a 1.5 inch drop (supposedly) all around. I know it did maybe a little more in the front then back since my car sits front end lower. But thats just the springs. Ill be replacing those soon enough. But you should be fine with the Pro Kit.

I hope so, cool so what else do i need to get besides my Shock n strut mounts im usen Monroe ones, bought a few weeks ago, but i see there are extra parts from my old stock shocks n struts, like boot i believe its called and some kinda bell thingy too keep the shock rods from punching up into the mounts, do i need anything for these shocks in the rear where the mounts connect?, or is everything in the box but the mount's. ?

I also have the hp's and it says with the paperwork that they will take a 1.75 inch drop, but that u should trim the bumbstops. I never hear noises out of mine with the stock springs on but i did with the crappy m2 springs. I will be ordering the k-sport springs spring only because they are way cheaper than eibach.

Yeah Sweet i was just gonna get rears to test em out kinda but think now i'll just get the fronts as well i got Stocks on front, they handle alright but might as well do the full front n backs now then should be a Sweet ride, just Wondering still if all i need is to have shocks n struts ordered and my Mount's are all i need, dont i need couple things where the rod connects with the Mounts at least in the rears, like boot, some kinda bell thing that keeps the rod from punching up into the rear shock mounts or do those pieces come with the shocks n struts, thanks still bhit confused on that Thanks.

the monroe strut mount kits come with the stuff u need except the rubber spacers that go between the spring and strut and the dust boot , wich sould be reusable. The bump stop will also be reused and should have about 1/2 inch trimmed off it?

So the Bumpstop is the rubber that protects the rod right ? i saw what mine looked like same off stock acdelco ones and they are a bit rusty, thats okay tho eh. ?

Yeah the MR2 springs arent the greatest, but they work for me just fine. I installed them on mine, and I get a little noise, but nothing thats crazy. So I dont mind. The stops will need to be trimmed, as I did with mine, and the dust boots are covering the bump stops, and all you need to do is yank them off the old struts and install them onto the new ones. Should take a few hours for install front to back, if you have air tools. Either way, for the price I paid for the setup I have its not bad.

Rear's are not adjustable by normal means, and typically don't need to be.

Got my rear Tokico HP Blues and gotta wait till monday to get the front struts paper work says 1.75 inch drop 1 3/4" cant wait to feel the ride quality on my yellow 03 LS Coupe Z24* J... on these 1.4" Eibach Pro-Kit's and gret handling, i also talked to a few guys with other cars like neon srt/4's with these tokico HP's with 2.0+ drops and they said no issues at all nehows cant wait, right now cars on GR-2's on eibach not good combo at least in cold, they Gotta be used summer only when warm out for the shocks n struts to work properally, had no issues at all last summer with stock acdelco struts n shocks on pro-kit, last summer they kicked ass.. still not a good set-up but time to move on to Tokico HP Blue's Now, in Box was paper work stating 1 and 3/4" drop 1.75" drop is okay and under warranty etc, which makes me feel good about dropping 1.4" on them nehows tho she'll be nice in a couple of day, gonna be wicked i am pumped. my yellow 03 LS Coupe Z24* is Mint and has 227,000K on body, would never... guess it. engines mint only 103K same with tranny and clutch has 20K on it stock one but its nice and smooth ....
