Ok please dont flame me. I just need a quick answer thats bugging me from other threads. Its about cutting springs- there i said it! But not the front ones
the back ones. I know I can buy the lowering springs very cheaply, but i Just have a question. I can cut one coil out of the rear spring out of the top right? I
really dont see too many safelty issues here, but am sure you guys will enlighten me. I have cut springs before properly on older cars like m 79 trans am. I
dont care about the ride just want it to sit lower in the back.I also dont go road racing, just plain cruising. Ive searched and read all the posts but many talk
about not cutting the front springs and was wondering about the back. Thanks again.

if it was a linear spring rate like older cars it's not ideal but it'sacceptable, you don't cut progressive rate springs
ok so the rear springs are also progressive? thanks another Q I had. If i do decide to cut the rears a little, what is the worst that could happen? I know that heating them they can eventually break but taking a coil out of the top shouldnt hurt that much.
