OK i did a search already on this topic and didnt find anything. The STD S1 Suspension setup, has anyone had any experience with it, it seems to be a pretty good set up. couple of questions on it....if you have had experience with it or heard of anyone with experience with it then please let me know what their or your opinions are on it. also what kinda ball park price can i expect to pay for it. prolly between 800 and 1000 is my guess.

I've never even heard of the company, nor have I ever seen anyone here mention it. I may email them for more info/prices.

Just a few things I noticed....

"If you wasn't sure, now you are, so don't bought the wrong street suspension."
"Separate ride high and pre-load adjustments"
"With this feature, you will feel a greater difference in damping force adjustment at each manual damping force adjustment you will done."

Other than @!#$ty english skills, this looks like it might be something for me to give a test on my car and on my new DD toy....

It's gonna be at least until the spring before I get anything reviewed LOL. You've seen the car. Gonna take a few months to get it road worthy again but I'll give you an opinion on how they look if I get them soon.

They do have a cavalier listing but I didn't see what suspension setup they sold for the J, it was a 00-04 model year setup.

Any of the blacked out boxes is something they have for that model.

I emailed them earlier today, and they were quick to reply:

Quote:

Hello Mr. Hill,

At STD, we are making suspensions since 2000 but our product is sale in America since only 2 year and a half.

All our suspension are made with mono-tube design. Each cylinder contains high-purity nitrogen gas to ensure that the shock absorber will perform in a stable and smooth manner. The seamless steel tubes are incorporated with a chrome molybdenum alloy. This approach produces durable steel tubes to ensure they will operate without flexing, even under high performance driving. Each application has a specific cylinder. Springs are powder coated and have specially ground surfaces. We can provide custom spring rate on most applications.

We have 3 models available for Chevrolet Cavalier : S1, R1 and R3

Part number is CV-101 for 00-04 Cavalier. S1 and R1 can be instal on 95-99 with the OEM 00-05 top mount and upper S/P seat. Same for the R3 except that the R3 include the front top mount with an adjustable camber plate so it doesn't require the OEM from top mount.

All the information about the STD S1, R1 and R3 suspension are on the website : http://www.stdsuspension.com/suspensions.php

STD S1 is 1080$
STD R1 is 1260$
STD R3 is 1386$

If there is enough interest, I will set up a GP for them......but there has to be some REAL interest for me to do that.

From my conversation with them, prices will depend greatly on how many are ordered.

Ive seen them advertized in PAS magazine and SCC....and like i said people running them on the Lancers and WRXs love them....i dunno i change my mind too much to commit to GPs. someone is gonna have to be a guinea pig with them .but then again what the guinea pig might or might not like other people dill agree or disagree

I'll be emailing them tomorrow when I get home about getting a set to test out on a local car. If they are good to go I'll either run a GP or let John have at it. I'll let y'all know.
