well i got a smoking deal on teh subframe....that still does not answer my question though lol
What does the exhast have to do wtih anything?
a stick i have lol...just curious...my 5speed hates me right now
on the 2200 the exhaust runs from the front of the engine so if you tried to install it on the 2200 the exhaust would be in the way or rub up against it

It should work on your sunfire. However it only does half the job the K brace does. The K Brace is a much better product.

well then sell me a k brace for the price ima pay for this one....lol sorry, to get a k brace into my affordability range right now is not gonna happen...maybe ill modify this one.....
I know, but many have thrown the RK Sport one in the scrap tank, and went with the K Brace. Just stating you will not notice the full potential unless you get a full K brace.

Well, its a good place to start
shoulda asked me , ida told ya GET THE "K"
ive got a CFX brace i never used , and its twice what the rk is
THEN SELL IT TO ME ERIC!!!! i shoulda asked you, but i didn't have my call eric instantly phone with me....
Either way you go, the subframe brace will do the car good.
I agree with Aaron though, the K brace is better but if you've got a great deal on a basic subframe brace, get it.
It does wonders to box in the strut tower assembly.
Then if you choose (like I did) to purchase the K-brace later, you can then have the full benefits of the K-brace.
Btw, I'll be installing mine in the next week or two.
Good luck with your decision.

Thank you Dave and JBO!
for the k brace, will it allow me to run my charge pipes under the car still on a 2.4
charge pipes go from the turbo straight down then to pass side, in between the oil pan and motor mount then out to the pass side fender well area
i havent been given an answer on this and thats all thats holding me back from buying this
I was going to ask the same question I currently have the RK Sport brace but would like to try the K-brace but I'm building a turbo engine and want to run the charge pipesunder the car. I guess I could always buy the K brace then sell it if it doesn't clear the turbo or charge pipes.
just build the charge pipes to clear the brace
best of both worlds that way
The K brace does not fit automatics though, correct?
Don't buy from MANTAPART!!
It fits. You just have to install it upside down.
If you've got the GroundFX subframe brace, ground clearance will be similar with the K-brace.
I'll be installing mine soon.

Thank you Dave and JBO!
can some one post a picture of the K brace installed?
Yea post a pic of it installed please.
One thing i love about having a subframe brace is the car rotates around tight turns like right hand turns so fast and effortless, I would describe the feeling like a pendelum if that makes any sense - I would like to try the K brace.

Why would they throw in the the scrap tank (unless they hit something with it, lol), when they can sell it for good money. I had the rk brace and others like it, and they are great... I think you are exaggerating the differences over them, but I'd like to prove you right.
Is there any group purchases on these, and if not, why not?
Don't buy from MANTAPART!!
You missed the sale that Aaron and TTR had on the K-brace.
Multiple items were on sale and I wound up getting the K-brace along with the rear stick tranny bracket so I can get closer to doing the tranny swap.
I'm sure Aaron will have another sale coming soon.
