I just finished replaceing my front pads(hawks hps) and my question is? It seems that the brake squeal is back in the front and I can't figure it out could it be a caliber rubbing etc....opinions thanks guys
Squealing is not going to be a caliper. Squealing can be caused by lots of things.
Did you cut or replace your rotors when you changed pads?
How many miles are on these pads when the squealing started?
Was there a backing plate ot the PADS that stuck on with adhesive? Is it still in the proper position?
Did you put lubriacant or disc brake quiet on the back of the pads?
...etc, etc.....you need to post some more info, and look everything over. No one can diagnose this over the internet, but we can give you ideas to look at.
im going to say it has to do with the rotor
My Hawk HPS pads squealed from day 1. Just the nature of the pad as I have seen several others do the exact same thing. Yes I do know how to do brakes.
what material are these hawks?? semi metallic, ceramic, what??
