i was driving my car yesterday 02 sun fire 2.2 and put my foot on the brake normally and i got this really bad grinding sound and it hasnt stoped since i changed the brakes last December does anyone have any idea what it might be.

is it only when you press the brakes?

Yesterday you drove your car, pressed the brake pedal, and heard a really bad grinding noise. Making it sound as if you heard it for the first time yesterday.

Now, you say that you changed the brakes in December and it hasn't stopped since then? It hasn't stopped making the noise, the car hasn't stopped....???

So, to me.. if your brakes are making noises, get your ass off of the computer, go jack your car up, pull your wheels off and look at your brakes. Find out what is wrong, surely if you can change them you can give them a visual inspection.
