Anyone install just rear adj struts?
Thursday, September 13, 2007 12:29 PM
Hey Guys,

I just installed some Sprints and the rear is really rough. The struts are new OEM style. The front is not bad at all. I'm not going to purchase all 4, only the rear. Any info will be appreciated.

Thanks,

-Luis

dont mix and match struts. you will need new struts so just buy all 4. with sprint springs (1.8" drop) in order to do your suspenion correctly you will need tokico dspecs or koni yellow

Does it make a difference if the rear springs are installed with the tight coils to the top or bottom? My Apex springs dropped a lil less than advertised but weren't nearly as bad as these...

I believe the tighter coils have to be on the bottom of the strut. If u have them back wards flip them around and that should make the ride way better.

I hope that helps, as I installed them with the tight coils on the top.

Before u go and change anything look around at some pictures cuz i would hate for u to change them around and it not fix the problem.

It doesn't bother me to change them as I'm used to working on my car. I actually changed them this morning, it took me less than an hour to do both. It helped a little bit at least.

The coils that are closer together are mounter to the top..If you turn them around it will cause it to fill up full of crap...It should make no differance in ride hight..Give the coils some time to break in..
