Hey i have no idea what im doing when it comes to suspention. All i know is i want a lower look to my 98 sunfire. I remeber seeing something on tv about cutting springs? if i cut my stock springs will that be fine enough to just lower it? and who would i take it to to get it lowered?

First, I would recommend the FAQ at the top of the page...

Cutting progressive rate springs is a bad idea. It creates inconsistencies on the spring rate, thereby making the ride feel like poo.

Depending on how far you want to lower it, you are going to need shocks and springs/coilovers (the brands you get depend on how far you can lower it).

A good, fairly inexpensive, time-tested setup is the KYB AGX strut + Eibach Pro-Kit spring setup

1.4" drop, front and rear.

Well Gwizlo: First of all if you are going to cut youre coil springs, Its not a good method to go. Cause what will happen is youre struts will blow out. Also the ride will be very poor bouncing around. Its better off just spending the cash on some good coils & shocks, Its will save you the head aches, Also you will be able to enjoy youre car alot more.

You get a nice set of Eibach 1.7/2.3 Inch Sportline Kit $225.00 performance coils.

Also nice set of 4 Koni Yellow Shock/Strut Kit for $575.00

at car customs.

their are other setups you could pick through, Depending on youre cash spending.

Good Luck on youre picks.
