ok so i tried fixing my brakes... long story short my fitting at the end of the hard line that goes into the soft line for the caliper is junk, so im wondering what my options are on fixing this, i went to the junk yard to find one but they cut all the brake lines to drop the motors out, but i was able to find one cav with everything intacked but after getting under it taking the line off noticed that in the accident the auto trans smashed the line inbetween the cradle so.. what am i to do, ive been told to use a compression fitting?

Do not use a standard compression fitting, it'll blow off when you need it most.
You need to pick up a new flare nut, cut the old line, new nut on, and double flare the line again.
Find someone in the regional section that can do it or take it to a mechanic. Unless you want to get adventureous and buy the tool yourself.
I can help you out. I have been selling SS brake lines for the front of our cars along in the kit for the neon rear disc brake setup and with the front SS kit you dont need that nut. Instead you flare on a new fitting that goes to the SS line. It works really well. All you need is a 37 degree flaring tool, (not a double flaring tool). You can get them from summit for like $20.00 or so. Anyway just let me know and I can get just the front SS lines to you if you need it.
well i spoke with our neighboring mech. shop and they said the factory lines are really hard to flare and normally will split., cause i cut off a piece of that line at the junk yard and was wanting to flare it and then cut my line on the car in the same spot and flare that and use a union to attach the two, cause im really not that big of a fan on the compression fitting.
