What Front Strut Bar Will Find Under A VIS Racing Invader Hood? 2001 Cavalier
I bet the '00 GM strut bar for the verts would work.

I was at a junk yard pulling new fog light housings (wish they had just made the stupid covers detachable! mine were so pitted and yellow!) and saw a crashed convertible... I look under the hood to see how bad the damage is... STRUT BAR? I didn't know the convertibles came with them, but boy was I pleased. I hope I'm correct in assuming it is a GM strut bar. It was a 95-99 'vert but they sold it to me for $15 and I cleaned it up and it fit no problem, though it does have a bracket in the middle of the bar that I don't have a hole to put a bolt into, so although it's bracing the sides the middle bracket is floating. Haven't noticed a huge difference with it but then I don't toss my car around. Anyway this bar seems much sturdier than most aftermarket ones I've seen, a little heavier but seems much more solid. I contribute this in summation to say : yes, the bar from the convertibles fits but there is a floating bracket. I have an '00 Z24.
