after taking a few hard long turns in my car the power steering pump begins to whine just like its low on fluid but its not. trying to figure this out before warranty runs out.

yea that happened to me once. added some fluid and it shut up. i have no clue as to what happened.
Probably have bubbles in the system.
To fix:
Jack up the front end, so both wheels are off the ground. Turn the wheel hard-to-hard back and forth about 20 times (not too fast, I know it's tempting to be in a hurry). Check/Add fluid. Repeat. Make sure the resevoir is full to the mark (even a little past isn't a bad idea).
i had that happen to me at the track once
ended up just adding fluid, and it's fine after that

Why not call a GM garage and see if they've had a recurring problem with this. They may or may not wanna talk about it, never can tell with those guys, but if its under warranty I'd take it in and discuss it with them and get it fixed. Might be able to find a permanent solution.
