Does anyone know who owns this Z24, I'm doing an engine build soon and would like to talk to the guy to find out what engine he's using and how he built the engine.

I picked up on the plates, and I'm aware of what kind of car it is, but I was just throwing it out there because if he is on the forums, then he's probably floating around this one

Not really. Most of the hardcore 2nd genners only hang out on V6Z24.com, 60degreev6.com, or even domesticcrew.com. There really isn't much for 2nd gens here.
I remember when I was at Lordstown during the build-down of the Gen II and the tool-up for Gen III. We drove some prototypes and well the Gen II with the V6 was always like a baby Camaro sort of a junior muscle car. But with the loss of the V6 and the styling changes that made the car closer to the Honda Civic we could feel the collective age of ownership drop. I could never really get into 4 cylinders and that is why I left Lordstown and moved on.
I do like the Cobalt SS models with the Supercharged although they are moving to turbo motors for 2008 model year. I will be going to Lordstown in December when they build out for the winter months.
I saw that vid on YouTube with the exhaust I liked the car it is an 88 Z vert which I have an 88 Z vert but mine is Black Cherry not black black. One day I will get around and post a vid of my exhaust. The Meineke nearby here custom built a dual exhaust system with twin Hooker AeroChamber mufflers with twin tips (for a total of four tips coming out the back) I had to cut out a matching exhaust hold on the passenger side. I think there is a vid on YouTube where a guy with a Phase I did just that.

For exhaust I'm going with a 2.5" RK Sport Dual Cat-back, with an 18" resonator and a magnaflow high-Flow cat. I will either be using the pacesetter headers, or getting a set custom fabbed to fit into my car. It's a 3rd Gen, and all this will be on a 3400. I was really only wanting to know what the guy was using for a cam. If it's a 3x00 in the car (yes I know, the fender says 2.8) I can most likely use the same cam.
So basically you are putting a V6 in a third gen car but want to put in a different cam to sport it up a bit? To be honest the 205HP in a late model 3400 or 3500 is more than adequate for any of the Js but I can check at work Monday to see what has been spec'd for this motor.
There is a guy on this board with a 3400 in a Sunfire the name escapes me but I am sure he isn't the only one. 60degreeV6.com is probably a good place to find information on that. The Chevrolet V6 engine from Gen II to Gen III is of the same design principle with expanded bores and some external differences (like p/s pump, coil pack placement) but largely just an evolved design. That is why 3100/3400/3500 have been popular refits on the Gen IIs with V6s because they will go right in with minimal mods. I have no direct knowledge of how a V6 will fit into a Gen III since they never came with one to begin with, but I suppose like with anything could be made to work.
Now if it was up to me I'd tell you to go find yourself a nice Gen II Cavalier Z24 convertible, replace the original V6 with a motor of your choice then you could have your cake and eat it too. lol...

The 3400 was not rated at 205HP, I think it was 180 at best. The 3500, I'm not familiar with. Yes I'm going to put a 3400 in a 3rd gen. I'll be adding all the things above, plus an intake, 3500 head swap, cam, and lightweight pulleys.
Getting the 3400 bolted into the 3rd Gen, is the easiest part of the swap. All the mounts are the same, other than a custom fabbed piece from the stock lower dogbone to the 3400 mount, and the top mount from a lumina 3100 bolted into the stock upper mount location. The hard part is the wiring. I'm going to be using a 93-94 3.1 Z24 harness and computer, with a chip to run the multitec II injectors, and splice it into the stock 3rd Gen computer to run the gauges.
The link below is of Kardains 3400 swap. There are several guys on here with V6's swapped into 3rd Gens. Kardain, RSF98, Mr. Goodwrench, SHoOFF, DxRay, Joe Malechowski, Z24 Speed, thebondoman, Quicklilcav to mention a few.
