With the rear, I am going to do the Ferrari style rear panel. And how Ferrari has the prancing horse, I'm going to do a Chevy bow tie. How does that sound?

well, it does have a little more weight, but the amount is about 90 lbs. It's automotive grade steel, 22 gauge, and 1 sheet only weighs roughly 25-30 lbs. Most of the weight on my car is coming from stereo system. That shiz is heavy. And check sometime tomorrow, I should have some pics up with the "Ferrari panels". Still haven't done the chevy badge yet though.

I already said in the beginning of the post, no negative comments. So in other words stfu and keep them to yourself. Secondly, you need to look at it from another point of view. Most people who send in cars to get "hooked up" never see the process going into it, especially when making a custom car. I am trying a unique approach instead of doing the same thing everyone else has done. If you can't appreciate it, then too bad, but keep it to yourself.

Thats quite a project you got going on there. Looks like its headed in the right direction. Can't wait to see it finished up. What do you have in mind for a paint job?

well, as far as a paint job goes, I am going to go with a color called silver mica pearl. It's close to an Escalade color, just a little darker. The pearl in it is pretty nice, almost a gold. If not, I would like to do a Porsche Carrera GT pewter grey. But something that will contrast pretty good with the vents, that will be black.

this topic is a round up for all the members with horrible taste in cars. Think about it Aaron.....you have to tell people to keep their negative comments to themselves because your "car" is damn ugly. You need the negative comments to let you know just how bad it looks.....lets do a good : bad comment ratio......most people KNOW....not think.....KNOW it looks bad......I would be impressed if it actually looked good.....sure it takes balls and devotion to jump into a project of that scale.....but it doesnt look good. If it had smooth lines and still maintained a Cavalier look.....then it would be cool.....

Looks pretty good. Front-end is really good, looks like my friend's Prelude that he's done up. Back-end looks alright, although something seems off about it. I'm sure you'll have it looking better though. Doors look sweet from the side, but I'm personally not a fan of the massive gap when you look at it from the front angle. That's just me though.

Definitely props for the amount of customization done here.

I applaud you for your effort. Granted there still is alot of work to be done, so i cant wait till its done.

however, not a bad comment, but a curosity. You know the front doors dont line up with the front fender at all, i assume?

Hey Jordan, do yourself and everyone else a favor, strap a bag of raw meat to your head and a 100 pound cinder block to your feet and jump in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

Anyway, for the fenders, I know that it's high. I am doing that for a reason. If you ever look at Japanese Grand touring cars, they have that same look. The menacing wide body. The front fenders are unusually high, I do agree, but with the way chevy did the door, I kind of went along with it. I was contemplating if I should try and smooth it down and have it meet or not, but after I start doing the molding and body work, I'll see which way it comes out.

Screw the "Cavalier look." It's your car - you can do what you want with it. Screw smooth lines too for that matter.

I see a cool Road Warriors look developing. Run with it!!!
