Anybody have any onfo how to get a reproduction of original window stickers? I have most of the other paperwork(owners manual, convertible suppliment manual, maintainance schedule,1986 sales brochure) but I'd really like to have the window sticker, too! I just recently found out what 1st gen convertibles sold for new-man,they were expensive!!! One book on GM 80's cars said they listed for about $14,000-more then a Monte SS or a Z28! Big bucks for a little economy car-no wonder not many were sold!
I know someone out there likes messing with photoshop
I'm sure we can get this done. Maybe a scan of some Monte Carlo SS or F-body forums can get us a good clean copy of a window sticker. From there its just a matter of plugging in your RPO codes, costs, and other specs for the Cavalier. I'll see if I can get anyone in GM land to give us a hand.
As for the cost, I know my folks spent $9800 for mine when they bought it in 1988, and that was even a lot for a Cavalier

Excellent!!
After a quick search, I found this clean copy of a 1986 Monte Carlo SS window sticker. If you have all your RPO codes, and decode them, and knew the prices for each item back in the year your J was manufactured...you could pull one of these off.
Of course it would help to know where the car was sold originally and all that stuff, too. But you can photoshop something together.
OR get this, a place online actually specializes in reproduction window stickers!

Gather the RPO's and send them $30...you'll get a repro shipped to you. Not a bad idea. Now if only I can beg for $30 from the wifey
There's the pic I meant to post.
I've got a scanner. If anyone wants to part with an original window sticker for a day or two I'd be glad to scan it. Finding original RPO codes isn't that hard. Call the Chevrolet customer service center and ask what you can get for free for your restoration project. You might be surprised.
FWIW, my 89 Sunbird GT turbo ragtop had an original list price of 16k. I don't know if 89 Vettes carried that high a price.
