I would not offer more than maybe 500 as the list of things it needs.I can see the rear is drooping,so new shocks,springs,and tires.Paint is toast,top is toast,interior carpet is done,and while it looks ok,and a 4spd and low mileage I could easily sink a grand into just making it roady worthy just from the pics.It is a cool model but to obtain it and fix the obvious would bleed a hole in a wallet.
Suprisingly close to where I live but alas my cup runneth over . It is sad to see such a rare find destined for the shredder in its current state of decline. Too bad I don't have a rich Uncle...Hahaa!
I couldn't believe it had a tow hitch - can't remember ever seeing a 1st gen with one of those. Can only imagine what someone towed with this little car!

Five speeds are getting really hard to find.
If it were only 400 miles closer I would make an offer.
It is not but about a two drive for me even.However with my to do list the last thing I need is yet another costly project or car in my way.
Looking for a manual trans for a first gen cavalier where did you see it?
