MD Tint Laws

I know all around the vehicle the windows have to be 35% but how low from the center of the windshield can the tint be? I used to have this marking on the side that said VS1 or something like that but it's not there anymore probably scrapped off by accident.

How can a state like Virginia issue someone tickets for there vehicle such as tint or having a bracket around their license plate when they don't live in VA nor is the vehicle registered in VA. They're just driving through the interstate from a southern State going up north. How do they expect people to know laws like that when you don't live there?

Not sure on the tint thing but out of state vehicle inspection laws don't mean squat!
Your car is registered in MD and meets MD standards. What VA says or wants doesn't mean anything unless you try to get VA tags.

Do you really see MD police harassing someone or give a ticket for their tint if they have FL tags?

You can't get a ticket from an out of state cop for MD laws.

Your tint can cover the window but legally must be 35% + unless you have a business/company vehicle that requires it or medical reasons with a statement from your doctor!

35% on the front windshield 5" from the top of the windshield down. That's how all the civics get away with their strip of body colored vinyl on the front windshield.
