I'll be at the July meet but not sure about the bash money isn't what it used too. Having a $3,000 dollar school bill for the semester isn't fun at all.......

Well it's now time to move back up to Linden for this meet, so that's your turf Adam. Would you happen to have any ideas of a place that has a bigger parking lot? Possibly with better lighting as well? I hope we can keep up with these large turn outs, 12 cars have always been fun, but 25 cars is awesome!!!

wait before you set things in stone how about a meet on long island it's not to much further and i garrentee you will enjoy the long island street racing scene!!!!!!!!
i just posted on newyorkj's web page that i want a meet on the 16th. forget 25 cars i want 50!!!!!!!
for those of you that dont know DEER PARK AVE. it is one of the largest street racing scenes around.... you will get to meet a few more li j's. and hopefully some of the new york j's will come from upstate......
on (deer park ave(route 231)) you will see everything from annoying civics to beat on with our cavs.... to oldies....... to the strange and unsusal on a good night...
i propose a meet on new york and jersey j's alike.... i dont want to hear excuses i want everone that missed the meet in jersey to make this one!!! and everyone that did make the meet in jersey to make this....... everyone in upstate ny needs to travel down!!!!!!!...
so i say on july 16th we meet on long island... on deer park ave(route 231) at 7pm
i will pick out a aparking lot that is appropriate depending on how many people are going to come

Long Island is no where near a 4 hour ride. ( Maybe with traffic ).
But IMO , i think we should meet earlier , because im going to have to be back here as close to 12 as possible. ( Parents are ghey ).
I don't mind going to Long Island but it's the whole street racing thing. Don't want it to be an episode of Fast and the Furious and 50 cops coming.
How about we meet at a different location that's easy to find and then we can head over to Deer Park?

cops wont bust you unless you race in front of them, and they are pretty visible. worst you'll get is kicked outta one lot for making too much noise, then we just move to another lot.

we got stuck in major traffic and still made it in 3 hours. with no traffic it should take you 1.5-2 hrs.

The way I see it, the Jersey Js should meet at the rest stop area again and then drive to Long Island. How does that sound?

Well i'd be game for this one only as a passenger..... got myself into enough trouble street racing, frankly don't want to go there again.... And you can probably count rich out too unless he just rides with Jess.... he's got more points on his license than me so he's gotta be even more careful. Not passing judgement on anyone, just bowing out on a personal level (even though it kills me cuz i know the beetle could probably have some serious fun out there).
Oh and Adam, which way are you going to the Bash? and when are you leaving? Cuz me, PJ, Mandy, and Zark are heading out early thursday morning i believe and we plan to take I-80 out to the Bash, with a nifty little detour to avoid the Water Gap traffic that thoroughly pwn3d us last year.

unfortunetly I don't think that a meet in LI would work because not enough people are willing to drive.
It's more like atleast a 3hr drive for me if Im in NJ at the time, but a quicker drive if Im coming from RI
I vote that we meet on 37 again, or we could all take a trip down to AC. We have a parking garage(if people aren't too cheap), and we could hit the casino, or the boardwalk. As for the date, I vote the 23rd.
hey mark, not everyone is of legal age to do such a thing. and i sorta agree on the LI thing, although it was fun with them all here...but somehow i dont think the jersey j's going somewhere that's so big for street racing is such a good idea. haha.

I think you guys should have your own meet and we will have our own. Now if people want to yours, they can come with me cause I would go to see what it's like but as far as everyone going there, it's gonna be way too hard.
Also, having street racing in front of some of the guys will end up with bad things...

yeah street racing is Reeeeeeeeeeeal cool. go to a damn track. jay : cathy and I are heading out around 530 - 6 am thursday morning.
don't be a dork........ it is more or less good cause we can meet up and check out tons of other cars too..... but if you dont want to come then you don't want to come.....
Well for me I'm either going to the LI meet or the JJ meet, unfortunately I can't pull both off. On the plus side the 16th and the 23rd are both good weekends for me as of now.
To be honest though because of the whole "street racing scene" I have to seriously consider. I still have a mark on my record that says if I get caught up in any of this mess that I am to go directly to jail, do not pass go, do not collect $200. So if you LI guys have a meet outside of the street racing scene or just hang out in a place with the cars and don't actually go near the street races I would be willing to come up and check it out. I'm not really looking to be jumping from place to place avoiding cops all night especially in an area that I'm not familier with.
As for the JJ meet back to the original plan to follow usual JJ schedule the next meet was to be the "north central" meet being the Linden area. So Adam what do you say, have any place in mind other than Taco Bell?

remember that cop that was driving around the movie therter it is like that they make sure no one is doing anything wrong,,,, as long as no one is disturbing the peace no one gets bothers in the parking lots...... the police are strickly after people racing and breaking the law and disturbing the peace. they want to hand out tickets not kick people out of parkinglots.
You have to keep in mind that I'm coming from a NJ scene where cops will @!#$ you anyway they can find. Hell according to the technical law in NJ anything that does not come from the manufacturer is illegal on the car and the officer can write a ticket for it. Also if you are caught around street racers you can also be arrested for just being in the scene with them. But hey if it will be cool I'm willing to go.
BTW Jay. July 16-17 is Waterfest 11 - The Largest VW/Audi Car Show & Motorsport Even in North America. It's at E-Town. Just thought you would be interested.
