Does anyone one have a spare harness lay around? I'm doing a 99 sunfire that was a 2200 auto swap to a 2000 cav 2.4 5 speed. I got everything in the car and just need a harness and computer.
I have the cash right now so if anyone one has one or knows a yard that has one let me know asap.. And also i've already checked car parts.com no luck at all.

Well I think JR has one here in Ohio, but I'm not sure. I got mine from someone in AZ. I forget his name, but they are getting harder and harder to find.
mines already gone. still have the 5speed tranny if you need an extra. also might want to try the yards that show the engine avalible. cause they might engine might still be in the car. thats how i found my harnes for my aco swap. but thanks trey

That harness is out of a 02. I was told it wouldn't work. I want to stay from a 99 and below so i don't have to rewire the whole car.
Jr. Don't need another one i have two. But i only have a few yards around me that's under a hour to hour and half away and they have nothing. I've looked for complete engines on car parts. Since i figured there would be a harness. No go because everyone that did would say well there sold with the motor now and you would have to buy the motor for it.
There is a yard bout 2 hours away that has a few and go figure they said the same thing.
Also what is envolved if i use a auto harness? If some one could tell me that because i want to get it running before i try and mount a p600b procharger to it.

O anyone ever heard of a guy on here that goes by boom boom or just boom? Has sent me an e-mail asking me if i still needed one but hasn't got back yet. Also wondering if the person is ok to deal with.
The guy above you is the one I was talking about, but if you have the whole 2000+ car do the body harness swap now cause tuning will be so much easier if you do anything with boost. Also if you are going to use the older harness you have to drill out the knock sensor and tap it for the bigger bolt of the older one. So think hard before doing the other.

o ok trey. I could swap the interior harness from the 2000 but would still need a 2000 engine harness. But it'll be to much work for as many projects i have. Picked up a 2000 sunfire with the 2200 in it with 81,000 miles for $300. Motor was locked up and will probably get a 3.4.
I'm working on a twin turbo set up on my 95 ta getting rid of the procharger. Then i have the 99 fire i'm doing the 2.4 swap in. To many things
It Is going to be boosted though. I got a p600b procharger off my 95 ta,intercooler,injectors, inline fuel pump, and alot of other things. Thought about seeing if i can get it mocked up tomarrow. As to the knock sensor i knew that too which really doesn't bother me.
Ben what year is the harness out of? I'll take as i can get a computer pretty easy. Shoot me a price
