Word of advice on the car, for the current and possibly future owner. Keep an eye on the front valve cover gasket for leaks. Though, i've heard it's not a problem if you have headers which this car does. But the front valve cover gasket according to GM can lose oil out of it during hard braking and cause an underhood fire. Everything except the hard braking part happened to my 97 GTP. The recall isn't out yet, but will be soon.... just something to keep an eye on in the mean time.

very true i am waiting on the second letter for them to put it in effect. i have not had a problem and it was replaced on mine when we did the headers also just to be safe. but yes very true
why did you say in the first post "it's ready for a 3.4 swap?

Yeah, mine unfortunately caught fire a year ago. On the bright side, a dry chemical fire extinguisher was not to far away so there wasn't much damage done. Though, now my valve cover is still cracked. But I saw some guys that had the TOG headers like you have and said that they won't have a problem with it... .so who knows. Never a bad idea to keep an eye on though.

The stock supercharger pulley on the L67 is 3.8" IIRC. When you swap to a 3.4" pulley it gives you I think +4psi and 30-35 more hp. But you have to mod the exhaust before you can run it without it knocking real bad. Which this car had done.
ill have the pics for you tomorrow when i get back to my laptop..i only live up by cleveland also so it wouldnt be too big of a hassle
WhininZ wrote:sell it and buy the white cav
um no i hate that thing lol
Michael Antle wrote:why did you say in the first post "it's ready for a 3.4 swap?
yes stock is 3.8 swapping to the 3.4 will break it into the 13s and it had\s more than the required mods to swap down.
3.4 u need u bend delete, pems, and a intake, i have intake full headers downpipe and highflow cat
anyone? im trying to get a hold of a certaint 96 show car
that mean you didnt like the convertible?
its not bad but i dont see that working out well in the winter and i dont want people to cut the top and be able to get into my car.
BUT IF SOMEONE WANTS TO MAKE ME AN OFFER AROUND 5500 as is we can work something out i might even go lower depending
what do you mean by working out in the winter?
i live in cleveland and have owned 2 cavalier convertibles, and a lebaron convertible with no problems.
well anyways good luck
