i just got pulled over doing 73 in a 55.....now i have to goto court in 2 months @!#$

no offense but doing that ur asking to be pulled over.. cant really complain cuz u were in teh wrong, if u have to speed i always kinda go this way around here. if u have to, in city, no more then 5mph over and not have problems(between 5-10 is pushing it) and then on highway 10, MAYBE 15 mph over.. and not really have any problems, i do highway every day and when its 55 i do 62, when its 60 i do 68.. but thats about the flow of traffic in the morning. now when im going at noon i may get up to 70-75 when speed limit is 60..but thats usually rare.. but really if u have to speed ur asking for it. i mean u were almost going 20mph over and i know here if ur doing like 25mph+ its 6pts on ur license.. cuz ive gone through that back in 04. Not trying to be rude but its pointless to complain about a ticket when u were in the wrong.. hell since i've started driving back in march of 04 ive only had 1 ticket for speeding.. 60 in a 30 racing, and did elude, and that was a month after i got my license and i was being stupid.. after that ive only been pulled over for minor things like green lights and my exhaust..and wasnt ticketed..
maybe ur not complaining? but it kinda seems like it.
edit after seeing Cheeters post, my first ticket i got i did just end up paying for it also, i didnt really feel a point in arguing or going to court..

im not complaining im just pissed becuz my damn radar detector didnt pick it up. it always does but this time no! lol this is more 4th time being pulled over for speeding and my first ticket. darn radar detector
at least you werent doing over 80 then your ass would have gone to jail

Radar detector is not there to allow you to
speed, its to remind you not to and act as a second pair of eyes for when your not paying attention.
Im not saying I never break the speed limit, but be realistic, if you do it, sooner or later your going to get caught and you just have to live with that, or don't do it.

well my ticket is 127.50 and 4 points on my license which blows...thank god its my first offense. the radar detector company i believe has to pay the bill for my im 90% sure that was somewhere in the owners manual that they do that...i hope they do but if they dont, i might be tempted to slow down for now on.....
yeah the cops in Chesapeake/VABeach area are no joke.....and they tend to creep up on ya and pace ya and wait fo ryou to do something stupid..)..(prolly why your detector didn't go off....prolly got paced).........trust me..i KNOW....i did the time....not fun.....made it out without a GF...
no i didnt get paced...he was going the opposite direction of me on the highway and we met at the end of a turn and he seen me before i seen him
