I thought I would post this in here as well.....
"Smells good to me" is a BBQ company my friend and I have started and we are having a BBQ June 18th (Saturday) in Montgomery County MD (location to be determined).
I am getting good feedback from the northeast region and would like to invite members who are close by to join.
There is a charge for platters which consist of:
Ribs (not dinky ones like outback or restaraunt style)
Chicken
Home made Burgers
hot dogs
half smokes
Italian sausages-green/red/yellow peppers
potato salad
greens
corn bread
corn on the cob
drinks (no alchohol)
I am trying to get a place where we can play some softball/volleyball/basketball
Should be a great time. Bring family and friends....does not have to be strictly J's.
If youd like to go please leave name and exact count so I can get an idea how much food to prep.

Thanks for the interest guys....the charge is gonna be 5-10 dollars a platter with drink...it all depends on the cost of ribs at that time...but no more than 10 bucks.

Also I dunno if he posted this, but we need an exact count of people. That way there is enough food and whatnot. It will be a blast and great if you can come!

^ Yes we will. There are great roads up where he lives and where hes thinkin about having it. I remember last year we went for a cruise then chilled in Rockville for a bit. It was fun all in all. I still have the pictures somewhere!

James...we will cruise probably to rockville pike...I am going to check it out this weekend and other weekends to see if its still going on...if not we can go somewheres else.

Alright....I am dropping off a permit to the Poolesville Town Hall for the reservation of Stevens Park. It has lots of parking, baseball field, basketball ct, tennis ct and huge fields. I am going to try to get a volleyball net. It has a pavillion which I will be cooking at. It is located in a very nice and influential neighborhood so there will be no thugs or teenagers around our cookout. Real safe place! Once the permit is approved I will need for you guys to start a list of who's comming. I know June 18th is a while from now but please try to be deffinite. I know things come up so its understandable.
I will post directions once i get approval. There will be no alchohol permitted at the park and plus, I don't wanna have anyone of us get busted for drinking and driving.
Plan on bringing baseball/softball gloves, tennis rackets and balls, football, soccer ball, frisbee and an empty stomach.
It is up to us to make this as fun as possible!
Ill take care of the food....you take care of your enjoyment...lol

Funny that you ask...my partner and I are working on one right now...I don't know if we will have it ready by then but in case we dont we will use Jack Daniels and some honey bbq sauce, thick n spicy...etc.

This is still going down, anyone else interested?
Alright people.....I need a deffinite count by 6/11/05. Please, if you say your gonna come then please do. I will be buying alot of food and its not gonna be cheap so attendance is a must.
I know things happen at the last minute so please respond as soon as you know. I am going to pick up the permit today or tommorrow for the park I reserved. Please remember to bring glove, bats, balls, soccoer balls, tennis raquets ect.....it is a big park with baseball fields and soccer fields and basketball courts.
If you need to bring someone after the due date please email me.
I will post directions to the area.
