Hello, my boyfriend and I are looking for a '00 to '02 Cavalier Z24, may consider a '95-'99 Z24 if it's clean. May also consider a '00-'02 LS Sport w/ the 2.2 Ecotec. Only looking for an automatic transmission car so that everyone in the household can drive it, no manuals (sorry). Don't really care much about mods for now (lowered on rims is a plus lol), as the car will be daily driven and so for now we're looking for something reliable and a bit on the cheap side. We have a '96 Corsica that needs work that we could throw in as a partial trade, has numerous new parts as well. Looking for a SE Michigan or NW Ohio car preferably (we're zip code 49221), can't travel too far out and the car must be able to be driven back. Not interested in base models or 5spds, an LS Sport is as close to base model as we want lol. May consider a Z24 four door, but prefer a 2dr. Would love one in white, aquamarine blue, indigo blue, or ??
Please PM w/ price, pics, VIN #, location, and a detailed description. Thanks!!
Careful, Michigan people think the car is gold as long as it runs. So many insane prices here.
If you can, look on Craigslist for Virginia and states down there. Mint cars are going cheap all day.
I've looked on craigslist, autotrader, carsforsale.com, in Michigan and Ohio Auto & RV's, Wheeler Dealer, basically anything free or cheap that has used cars for sale lol. Also, I don't really want to have to travel a far distance, I prefer to find a car within a maximum of 200 miles in any direction from where I am. Shipping a car is not an option, if it were I would have the perfect car in my garage right now LOL. I'm not just looking for a Cavalier Z24, there are other sporty 2drs that I'm considering so I suppose I won't have to travel too far once I find something, (hopefully). Thanks
i'll sell ya mine for $2,000
the one in your sig? It looks to be a '03-'05 base model 4dr, sorry but that's pretty much the opposite of what we want lol. No 4drs unless we absolutely for whatever reason can't find a Z24 coupe, then we
might consider a '00 to '02 Z24 4dr. If you happen to have another one that fits the bill, then please post some pics & info. Thanks
Does the car have to have a running good engine? I know where one is for cheap but has a rod knock. Here in Columbus, OHIO!!

I might have seen that one on craigslist, but yeah the car needs to be running/driving (must be able to be driven home after purchase, it's in my 1st post lol). We're ok with some dings and dents, but for the most part whatever we get must be road worthy and road legal. I don't want to get anything that just needs more money poured into it to get it running, it's worth the little bit extra to find something that won't be a headache but with as common as J-Bodies are, I know I can what I'm looking for, it's just a matter of scouring the ads.
One thing I must say, there are TONS of silver '00-'02 Cavaliers out there, thats the only color I don't really want : /
you'll have better luck finding the haily grail.
^^Exactly
Btw, this car is NOT on craigslist. Oh well, your loss, this car is mint. Can't be too pickey, especially when you want a J-body.

I said I **MIGHT** have seen the car on craigslist, as there were a couple on there that needed a little engine work but were pretty nice looking. Also, It's not my loss, if I'm going to spend my money on a car, I want it to be exactly what I want and I don't want something that isn't even running, that's just a waste of time unless it's a super easy fix that I can do at home but I need to get the car home under it's own power, no exceptions. My last Cavalier was an immaculate one owner '00 Z24 with less than 52,000 miles on it. Bought it from a dealer for $3279 out the door, and that was just two years ago. I've found plenty of nice Z24s, but the majority of them all happen to be manuals.
** If you aren't selling a Z24 that matches what I'm looking for, then just hit the back button. Off topic comments are not necessary. THANKS **
The car he was talking about was mine, but due to the way you are acting I wouldn't sell it to you for the life of me. Maybe you should think about hitting the back button next time you come on this site.
couple corrections here...
the eco and the LS sport only existed in 2002 in the 00 - 02 body style
less than 18% of cavaliers each year were Z24s, the majority of those were outfitted with the 5 speed .
the 00-02 body style ran for 2.5 model years (all of 00, all of 01, and half of 02) as a Z24 and .05 model years as the LS sport (remainder of the 02 year)
so not saying its impossible like the guys are saying above, but you are probably undertaking one of the hardest searches besides searching for a toyota cavalier.
Good luck..
Well just to piss this girl off more mine is an Auto Z24 with LS Front and Rear lips.
To make it one of the hardest things to find. I could even put a new engine into the car with the only Johny Mack Auto Turbo systems ever made. T3/T04E setup with intercooler and all. I only still have 3 J's going to the grave here soon unless each is parted before hand.
you are getting out of the j game?

My 2000 Z has 02 LS front and rear Lips... and 5 speed goodness
I've been out for over a year now. Doing a 2.7TT swap into my Audi 03 A4.
who said I was pissed off? You guys are the ones who feel it's necessary to make sarcastic comments that don't contribute anything to my thread. Nice way to treat a new member by the way, might want to get off your high horses. Anyway this thread can be closed, an awesome local member tipped me off on a gorgeous white '02 Z24 that I'll be picking up Saturday, it's exactly what I wanted
If that falls through i have an 02 ls sport cavalier w/ the ecotec. Its an automatic and has sunroof and power everything. Just had a new motor put in that had 80k on it. I got the car last year from kentucky so it has never really seen any snow either. I was looking to get 2500 for it but we could work something out if you were interested.
