Watch yourselves, MI boys and girls....
Friday, September 17, 2010 7:30 PM
It's getting nasty around here. Bright and early this morning, someone decided to steal the Catalytic converter off of my 04 Cavalier. Also sounds like they got the car next to me too. From what I'm gathering it's really going crazy with people stealing these things nearly everywhere. (would love to know who they are selling them to)

Just a heads up guys, so it doesn't happen to you...

Where about in Michigan? We see a lot of this around the Deroit/Metro area...

I think I'm safe, no cats in my driveway

I would be happy if someone stole the cat off the bravada. Damn element in there is just rattling around and it would make my work easier haha.

No worries on the cavalier. It is garaged.

They sell them to core buyers.

I work at OmniSource here in Toledo. We only allow 1 person to bring in 1 cat everyday to help prevent them from hitting whole neighborhoods. A guy came in with 24 of them, needless to say he went home with the cops, and was back the next day...

Not in the area you live in, but an area I frequent a lot. time to start driving the blue car again.

No suprise there, although I'll give the local cops some props for nailing one of your competitors off of Westwood IIRC for accepting stolen metals.

Kind of un related but omni made me drive all the way home with a car once because I couldn't provide a title. They told me to cut it in half and come back with the halves on different days. Good for them, bad for me...

They see all kinds of stolen stuff. People coming in with unexplainable large amounts of copper still in rolls. Stolen molds from Honda etc etc.
