HELP NEEDED
Monday, March 16, 2009 1:02 PM
Problem...
I am TDY to Keesler AFB in Biloxi Mississippi. I am over 1300 miles from home. My 20G turbo blew its oil seals and I had to send it off to be rebuilt. I don't think it is going to be back in time for me to drive home. I will be leaving here on 31 Mar in the evening.

What i need...

I need a factory exhaust manifold, DP, and cat. I have the cat-back. I was hoping there is some one that is relatively close and could acquire this items and get them to me so I can make it home.

I have my hptuners and my laptop so I will be able to tune my car back to stock.

Also I will be traveling to Orlando from here in Mississippi. So if there are any members between here and there that happen to have factory parts that I can get a hold of that would be great too.

This trip will be out on this Thursday, the19th in the PM and back on that Sunday the 22nd in the AM. I will have a rental car for this.

I am not picky if these are items that you want back I can ship them back to you when I arrive home.

Thank you for your help with this one.

It didn't last long at all. I think only 4 months. lesson learned was to make sure you keep your PCV tube clean. The only way to know it is messed up is if you have oil in your intake. If you start getting oil then you have to pull the Intake manifold off and then clean the PCV tube with a pipe cleaner or something.

Increased crank case pressure wasn't escaping this led to the turbo oil drain becoming the only place for the gasses to vent to. thus pressurizing the center housing of the turbo which led to its destruction. It is rebuild able though. I just cant get it done in time for me to drive home.

crappy situation. But now you know how to avoid it.

It is a problem for all ecotecs. In a N/A car it will just cause oil leaks and burning oil. In a Turbo car it eventually leads to oil starvation to the seals.
You can clean that out and fix the problem till it clogs up again.

SO on a stock car if you have oil in the intake something is wrong?
