who in tampa area wants to help change my clutch...money involved

Simply said, my 97 2.4 needs the clutch changed very badly at the 156K mark. Car is getting close to being undrivable. I am capable of doing it myself but I live in an apartment and this kinda stuff doesn't fly here. If it was rear wheel drive I could get it done for sure within the day, but never done a front wheel drive before.

MONEY IS INVOLVED FOR ANY HELP

It can be done in a less than day. Well, unless your old clutch is stuck to the input shaft and even a 5 foot lead pipe can't separate the damn thing.... not that I would know or anything....

I am willing to help. But I don't have a place to do it. I'm stuck in Apartment hell too.

That would depend on how much beer was consumed during.

Well thanks for the offers. The only thing I really have to figure out is the flywheel part. I can't drive up to your place, drop the tranny and then take the flywheel to a shop to get it resurfaced, I have to have something to put back in there right away. Casey you said you've had to change your tranny out quite a few times so i'm guessing you may have a spare fly sitting around somewhere. If you do, we may try and work some kinda deal out with getting it from you with the work done to it. I'm basically just trying to get out as cheap as possible(daily driver), so whatever works. I mean, the clutch kit is just a cheapie from autozone.
The car has 156K with original clutch that can slip in just about any gear yikes! So i'm just trying to get some maintenance done and make my girl last til i'm out of college.

try picking up a spare either from a junkyard, this site, or JBO.

If you'd like, I'll look at the junkyards this weekend for ya. I won't go dropping a tranny, but I'll see if I can find one already out.
