so i have a few questions i am gonna try to get answered tommarow... but i ask anyone that has delt with this already... i am assuming it is legal to run white markers in the front??? i was almost possitive that it was a very common ticket around here... and more importantly the reason i bring this up.... how the hell are all of these led tails passing like this? that new mercury, clear lense straight to the led....... i am very frustrated here..... and it says not a dam thing about a diffused lense anywere...... PLEASE HELP!!!
Well not being a newer j model owner,I would say if the oem stuff had say yellow bulbs it would pass.If u have clear lenses on the front marker lights with white bulbs yeah that would not .IF u change the bulbs to a yellow or amber what ever it should b ok,I would think. As for the newer lights and leds those have meet dot regulations set forth by the gov and while the lens is clear and the bulbs are colored that's why the pass inspect. That's for new cars etc on the lights I know lexus uses clears and so do many others but, with colored red or yellow bulbs or leds.I hope this helps since I am in greensboro and have to go thru the same inspec process, just with a stock old 85 cavy.Hope this helps maybe.
all new cars like the Lexus RX330, Mercury, etc etc have leds...but they also meet the DOT requirement since they have rear RED markets...take a close look when you see one, at daytime...the have re markes on both sides

everything about my lights is illegal, but yes living in florida has its perks. i dont know what i would do if i had to switch all my lights every year for inspections
