hey l just put back my cavalier back together well it had a cobalt ss motor blew the motor on the highway so l put back the orginal motor 2.4 twin cam jus needs a water pump and the car is automatic again the car is lowered 1.5 in the front n .5 in the rear strut bar in the front n rear will come with stock rims the shell is good jus a tiny rust on the rear quarter panel and will need a new hood cost u like 30$ at a junkyard n thats it. Have a new master cyclinder also n has a vacum leak so havent botherd fixing it anymore jus want it gone from drive way $600 alot more extre stuff there is and it has a hi-flo cat that was installed not even 6 months ago car also comes with subs n 2 amps and if u want the after market rims that can be sold with the car will work something out n have 4 new dunlop winter tires also for the car jus on the car for 1 season n yea jus give me a call at 416 550 5626 anytime car runs also...... null

Read the original post Rich says he had a Cobalt SS engine in the car................that has never been done in a cav because of the drive by wire throttle.

The SS motor is a Ecotec Rich, but the the 2.0 SC, not the 2.2. And like stated, basically every aspect of the 2.0 engine is different from the 2.2 ECO

ok thats fine but no one knows for sure if that is what he meant he could have meant the 2.2 motor all I am saying is that everyone is quick to jump down peoples throats before they know the true facts

cobalt ss is 2.4 ss s/c 2.0. but the work involved in switching the motors back just to sell it?! more so if it has the original Isuzu trans in it. It would be easier to part it and you'd net more money without the hassle of swapping the motor back
I think it's perfectly reasonable to be skeptical as this guy doesn't have any other posts and may just be talking out of his ass trying to sell the car. If there's no response soon, I'm just going to delete the whole thread. We're not the Internet's j-body classifieds here.

nope not talking out of my ass l had did the swap last winter l put a 2.0 ecotec the motor was a stage2 with higer-flow fuel injectors, the Ecu got upgraded n had to put a smaller supercharger pulley, new supercharger belt & the cobalt tranny had only a stage2 clutch-masters n l threw on the lsd and to the swap u have re wire the whole car and alot more things to it to get the car running and no l didn't do the swap myself a shop out in scarborough did the work the shop name is speed tech who did all the work to the car n wild weasel dude just stop u drive a sunflower n y would u get a mazdaspeed3 u will still get dummied by a 04 srt-4. Neways You can see video's of the car if u want or come down to pickering and ask anyone about my car n they will tell u it wasn't the fastest thing out there either nor the slowest but at 13lbs of boost in cobalt terms 90kpa boost hey l guess lm talkin @!#$ right trust me if l was l wouldn't waste my time or anyone else is time.... Neways l put the car back to stock cause l blew the motor on the highway so l decided to keep the motor n tranny so l could make something back out of it n l just wanted out of the car scene got a son so l cant waste my time nemore with car's at the moment but the car sold but l have the motor n tranny "cobalt" it just need's new injectors n a new pulley n belt if wanted come by and grab it will come with everything and rather deal in person not over the net.... And for the isuzu tranny's those are like time ticking bombs basically @!#$....
